Loren Herz-O’Brien

Loren Herz-O’Brien is a Long Beach based multi-instrumentalist and composer. He recently graduated from the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at CSU Long Beach with a BM in Music Composition, and is currently the bassist for local band The Modes. In addition to playing bass and composing, Loren is also an experienced piano player and flute player.

While Loren’s focus in school was primarily classical music composition, he is also very interested and experienced in playing jazz and rock, as well as playing for musical theater and writing scores for film and video games.

By sharing his own knowledge and passion for music with kindness and humility, Loren hopes to excite and encourage his students to pursue their musical and creative goals to the fullest, no matter what those goals may be.
