Born in Budapest, Balage is a guitarist/producer living in Los Angeles. After studying jazz improvisation and theory in Hungary, in 1996 he attended the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California.
The next year he returned to Budapest and was busy working as a session guitarist and as a producer for numerous artists. At the same time, he lead his own jazz quartet, toured Europe and had multiple appearances on radio and national TV. Although he kept busy at home, he decided to move to Los Angeles in 2000 to pursue his dream of building a music career in the USA.
Since then, he has had a chance to meet and perform with some of the greatest artists including Chaka Khan, Pink, Sheila E and Bruno Mars. He also regularly works with top producers such as Eric "ET" Thorngren (Bob Marley, Talking Head, Eurythmics), Mark Paladino (NWA, Montell Jordan, Jane's Addiction) and Tom Banghart (Madonna, Fiona Apple, Rufus Wainwright).
You can hear his latest guitar work on labels like Season's Recordings, Generate-Music and on Hermosa Recordings. Balage's music was aired on E! Entertainment, USA's leading entertainment channel. His tracks have also been played on KCRW, LA's most popular independent radio station and on BBC UK. As a composer, his music has been placed on HBO, Bravo (America's Next Top Model) and the Disney Channel (Hannah Montana).
